<note>Introduction and Objectives:
Candida albicans is the main pathogenic in candidiasis, called the opportunistic fungus which is the main cause of thrush and can infect when the immune system is down. Betel leaf (Piper betle) contains eugenol which has antifungal activity against Candida albicans and contains kavikol which has 5-fold from phenol.
Methods:
This research is an experimental study. Extraction was carried out by the infusion method with using aquadest solvent. The infusion was diluted at concentrations of 25%, 45%, 65%, and 85%. By testing the inhibition of fungi using themethod disc diffusion. Edible movies printed with punched paper on 4 holes was used to treat infusion concentrations of 25%, 45%, 65%, and 85%. Themicrobe testused was the fungus Candida albicans, for control positive (Nystatin Drop concentration 50) and negative control base Edible film. The parameters observed were the diameter of the inhibition zone around the paper disc and edible film from the formation of a clear clear area around the well and then the diameter of the resulting inhibition was analyzed using linear regression.
Results:
The results obtained show that the edible film betel leaf infusion (Piper betle) at concentrations of 25%, 45%, 65%, and 85% i.e. 0.613 cm, 0.8 cm, 0.81 cm, and 0.863 cm had weak inhibition areas, positive control (Nystatin Drop concentration 50) had an average the average inhibition was 0.67 while the negative control (edible film base) had no inhibitory power.

Conclusion:
Judging from the results of the study, it can be concluded that the activity of betel leaf infusion (Piper betle) against Candida albicans and increasing the concentration of betel leaf infusion (Piper betle) has the effect of increasing the concentration on the diameter of the inhibition area produced which is quite high on the inhibition of Candida albicans compared with positive control.
